Loose Lead & Connection

How to stop your dog from pulling on the lead, creating loose lead walks with fantastic connection.
  • Learn why dogs pull on the lead, and understand how we can support them with this. Learn how to change how your dog feels by reassessing their equipment and what walks mean to them.
  • Learn how to communicate with your dog, not just through the equipment you use, but also with hand signals and cues.
  • I developed this course through my own experiences with my dog Remi, the first issue I had was that she didn't even seem to realise I was on the other end of the lead. Therefore I have created a whole section on foundation skills to develop communication with your dog so that they know you are on the other end of the lead.
  • Start your training at home with low distractions to get your loose lead walking skills perfected.
  • Every dog is an individual and therefore I have given lots of different activities to help perfect your loose lead walking. As you work your way through the course you will discover which technique works best for you and your dog. You may also use different techniques for different environments or distractions, my aim with this course is to give you a whole tool kit full of ways to support you and your dog with loose lead walking and connection.
  • Use the course workbook as you progress through each module, to document your observations, learn more about your dog and understand how they communicate with you.
  • There are videos to watch with each lesson and pdf's to download so you can keep them handy.
  • Life time access to your course materials.
  • Download the Canine Support App where you can access all your course content on your mobile devices, making learning even easier.
  • Access to the VIP Private Facebook Client Community, where you can ask additional questions relating to the courses you are completing, get unlimited support from your coach and share your wins plus lots more.
  • Join the Bark to the Future subscription Course, for Canine Support Clients with monthly group coaching Zooms, where you can ask questions and get even more support. We also run monthly activities, games and tricks to make your training even more fun. There will also be guest speakers sharing more knowledge about dogs and how we can support them throughout their lives.
  • For extra support why not book some Virtual Coaching or in-person training sessions, to ensure you're on the right track every step of the way.

This is a brilliant course and so much more than just lead walking

Loose lead walking is one of the things you see advertised everywhere on line and a lot of the courses use aversives and promise quick fixes, but Katharine’s loose lead and connection course is totally different. It starts by focusing on building the connection between you and your dog before you even get to the lead part! It offers so much more than just lead walking techniques and the difference in Martha is amazing. Like anything, you have to put the work in, but if you follow Katharine’s small, steady patient steps you will definitely get the end result you want.
