Why should you trust in me?

  • I don't just teach this stuff I use it with my own dogs. All my courses are inspired by the learning and experiences I have gone through with all my dogs over the years.
  • Observing and listening to our dogs is so important at every stage of their lives. It builds an incredible bond of trust, understanding and unconditional love.
  • I have helped many reactive dog guardians to understand their dog and develop incredible bonds.
  • Learning needs to be fun and easy to implement for both dog and guardian and my courses are designed in this way.
What My Clients Say

Sarah & Eva

What stands Katharine apart from other trainers I've worked with is the care she gives to her students (both human and canine) and is available 24/7 to provide help and care if and when its needed. You can tell she really loves what she does and genuinely wants to go over and above in order for her students to achieve. I couldn't recommend her highly enough". Sarah & Eva

Emily & Pippin

We enjoyed one of Katharine's Meet and Treat Sessions with our teenage pup Pippin. Katharine has a wonderful, warm and calm presence which was exactly what Pippin needed as he's finding lots of things scary at the moment. Katharine took her time and helped get him focused, they quickly made good friends. She is an absolute font of knowledge and experience and patiently listened to all of my questions. She helped me understand what we needed to be working towards. I have now enrolled on two of the Canine Support courses and plan to do more. If you're thinking about booking a session, mull no longer, just do it, you won't regret it.

Debbie, Pete & Penny

We would thoroughly recommend these courses because what we have learnt has made such a difference to our nervous dog. It has also given us the confidence to help improve our dogs general well being. Our dog is much calmer and less fearful of strangers. The weekly one-to-ones that accompanied the course were worth their weight in gold. We could discuss any difficulties we were encountering and Katharine gave us instant feedback to solve our problem.

Tim, Pete & Monty

Bark to the Future enabled us to reconnect with our dog Monty and enabled positive change from both Monty’s perspective and our own. This came at a time when we thought we’d exhausted all other options and we even questioned our ability to continue living together in harmony. It has been an invaluable tool in better connecting us and understanding him and we’ve gained greater respect – it absolutely has been the much needed reset, and at 7 years old, shows its never too late to make a positive change for you and your dog!

Yes! If you are willing to put in the work with your dog, then these courses are right for you. Learning does take time, with an average of 8 weeks for a dog to learn something new or change an existing habit, so patience and perseverance is required, but change is possible. If you have any questions about any of the courses then please feel free to contact Katharine at info@caninesupport.co.uk

Most definitely YES! I have experienced the difference between in-person training and online training. My puppy struggled with in-person training; it was far too distracting and stressful for her. When we completed an online course together I saw amazing results. With online training, you can study the techniques and learn more about your dog before you then put these techniques into practice. You can replay the videos as many times as you like, and with lifetime access to the course content, you can revisit it all as often as you need to. The main difference with online training is that you are the one handling your dog, learning about your dog, and making observations every step of the way. That results in a greater understanding, building your confidence, and moving at a pace that suits you and your dog. I have found that having a trainer with you in person can be quite challenging for your dog, especially they are a reactive dog and are concerned by strangers. The learning can be more difficult for both guardian and dog because there is a sense of pressure to "get it right." Virtual dog training will enable you to understand the principles behind the training, and give you the results you're looking for so that you can have the relationship and bond with your dog that you dreamed of.
